Morning gang! Now, bear with me here, as I might accidentally offend with this, but believe me its not my intent!
Its a foot note to the last bleating's, about my trip back to Blighty, or more precisely, the flight home, and my Jewish Gentleman.....
he was in the opposite aisle seat to me, with a an empty seat in the middle of his row, and an Islamic/middle eastern-y looking/dressed (trying to tread carefully here!!) kind of guy in the window seat...this is where I might be accused of offence or making assumptions y'see, but anyway.....
while my JG was doing the praying/fidgety thing, this other guy was looking a bit concerned too! But this is the interesting bit.....during the flight I noticed they exchanged a few words...then a few more, by the end of the flight they had turned toward each other, and were jabbering away, in friendly fashion ten to the dozen.
And I just thought 'Gosh, that's a bit amazing' clearly from 2 sides of a very contentious fence yet when left on a one to one basis they'd found some common ground.
See what I'm saying??? Gives you just the merest flicker of optimism. Or it did me, simple soul that I am!
